Accommodation and Views
The apartment offers two bedrooms, a living room, a balcony, and a terrace. From the windows, guests see Lake Wakatipu, mountains, gondolas, boats, kayaks, and gliders. The unit has three stories with narrow stairs; the Queen bed in the mountain-view room was noted as uncomfortable. All rooms are clean and non-smoking.
Kitchen
The apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, a TV (though small), free toiletries, and a bath or shower. No onsite restaurant; guests prepare their own meals. Air conditioning and free WiFi in public areas are provided.
Location
A 15-minute walk to Queenstown town centre, 7 km from Queenstown Airport. The road is steep, requiring a car or good fitness. On-site parking is available but spaces are tight. Free parking is included.
Leisure
Hiking and boating are available nearby. From the apartment, guests watch kayakers, gliders, and boats on the lake. The steep hill adds a fitness challenge for those walking.
Services
Free WiFi, free parking, non-smoking throughout, air conditioning, smoke alarms. Invoice provided. Owner communicates well and provides clear instructions. The unit is clean, warm, and well equipped.
“This unit's position is truly its standout asset, offering breathtaking lake vistas just a brief, albeit steep, walk from the town center. Inside, the apartment excels in comfort and thoughtful equipping, particularly the kitchen, ensuring a seamless and cozy stay. It strikes an impressive balance between accessibility and a commanding, picturesque outlook.”
